Job summary

A leading financial services provider in the UK is seeking a Senior BI Analyst to implement their Data Exploitation Strategy. You will create and deliver compelling reports and dashboards to support business decision-making while enhancing data literacy across the organization. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with BI tools like Power BI and advanced SQL skills. Qualifications

  • Experience of building and maintaining semantic models, applying Kimball methodologies.
  • Extensive experience in using modern BI technologies to design compelling reports.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge and Excel skills including Macros/VBA.

How you'll make a difference

You’ll play a key role in the implementation of our Data Exploitation Strategy - creating and delivering compelling reports, visualisations and dashboards to support business decision making across the Society, as well as partnering with colleagues and wider stakeholders to increase adoption and data literacy across the business.

What will you bring to the role?
  • Experience of building and maintaining semantic models, applying Kimball methodologies
  • Extensive experience of using modern BI technologies to design compelling reports; Power BI, SAP BI Suite (Webi)
  • Advanced SQL knowledge (e.g. window functions, CTEs, writing efficient and readable code) and Excel incl. Macros/VBA
  • Able to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues
  • Ability to interpret user requirements to design & build effective solutions
  • Ability to coach and mentor less experienced colleagues
