Job summary

PEXA is seeking a hands-on Lead AWS Platform Engineer to shape the platform strategy and architecture for the PEXA Go team. You will own design, deployment and operation of AWS services with a focus on reliability, security and cost efficiency.

You will work across platform, software and product teams in a hybrid setup, contributing to on‑call rotations and architectural reviews. We value collaboration, practical ownership and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and operating production platforms in AWS.
• Strong Terraform experience with modules, testing, version control and state management.
• Experience with CI/CD and secure deployment practices.
• Understanding of high availability, backup, DR, failover and capacity management.

Responsibilities

• Turn platform strategy, architecture and standards into practical plans and working solutions.
• Design, build and improve AWS services supporting PEXA Go (EKS, RDS/Aurora, MSK, S3, IAM, networking).
• Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform and deployment pipelines.
• Plan upgrades, lifecycle work and technical improvements across the platform.
• Improve reliability, security, observability and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations for safe deployments and incident response.
• Lead with design reviews, troubleshooting and cross‑team collaboration.
• Keep architecture docs and runbooks up to date.
