Job summary

PEXA is seeking a hands-on Lead AWS Platform Engineer to shape the Go team's platform strategy and architecture, translating plans into reliable, secure infrastructure. You will own design reviews, deployment pipelines, and platform upgrades, working with engineers, product teams and operators.

Qualifications

Hands-on AWS platform engineering experience.
Strong Terraform experience with modules and state management.
Experience with EKS and Kubernetes.
Experience designing and operating production platforms in AWS.
Knowledge of cloud security, vulnerability management and cost optimisation.

Responsibilities

Design, build and improve AWS services (EKS, RDS/Aurora, S3, MSK, IAM, networking).
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and deployment pipelines.
Plan and deliver platform upgrades and lifecycle improvements.
Improve platform reliability, security, observability and cost efficiency.
Work with engineering teams on safe deployments and incident response.
Lead design and code reviews and share technical direction.
