Job summary

Forvis Mazars in the UK is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to lead multiple engagements and develop junior staff. You will work closely with clients, manage planning through finalisation, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality audit work.

You will bring ACA/CA/ACCA qualification, solid experience leading external audits (including banking sector), up-to-date UK GAAP/FRS102 and IFRS knowledge, and the ability to train and coach trainees while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• ACA/CA/ACCA qualification or equivalent is required.
• Experience leading external audits from planning through to completion.
• Relevant banking sector audit experience.
• Up to date technical knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102 and IFRS.
• Experience in training and coaching audit trainees.

Responsibilities

• Assisting and advising on audit strategy and planning.
• Managing audit assignments from planning to finalisation within timescales.
• Controlling time spent and monitoring actual time against budget.
• Serving as a point of contact for engagement leads and clients.
• Drafting audit opinion summaries and reporting documents.
• Leading and supervising an audit team and ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Providing on-the-job training to auditors and seniors.
• Reviewing work and giving feedback during fieldwork.
• Supporting business development and identifying opportunities for additional work.
• Ensuring compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
