As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will lead and take ownership of multiple audit engagements and will take responsibility for overseeing and developing junior staff. You will work closely with clients and be committed to providing an exceptional service.

Qualifications

• ACA/CA/ACCA qualification.
• Experience of leading external audits from planning through to completion.
• Banking sector audit experience.
• Up to date knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102 and IFRS.
• Experience of managing, training, and coaching audit trainees.
• Experience of using audit software and Microsoft packages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist and advise audit strategy and planning.
• Manage and control audits from planning to finalisation.
• Monitor time spent and ensure budget adherence.
• Be a point of contact for engagement leads and clients.
• Ensure audit files meet standards and review points are cleared.
• Draft audit opinion summaries and reporting documents.
• Lead and supervise audit teams and allocate workload.
• Provide on-the-job training to junior staff.
• Organise tasks considering team capabilities.
• Review work of seniors and provide feedback during fieldwork.
• Support performance appraisals with constructive feedback.
• Build strong client relationships and address requests promptly.
• Assist with business development and cross-service opportunities.
• Identify opportunities for new work and improvements.
