Forvis Mazars is a leading global professional services network providing audit & assurance, tax, and advisory services. The role sits in the UK Audit team, delivering high-quality audits for Mid-Market and privately owned businesses from planning through completion.

You will supervise and coach junior staff, manage client communications, and ensure timely, compliant delivery. The successful candidate will have ACA/CA/ACCA and strong UK GAAP/IFRS expertise, with a track record of leading audits

Qualifications

• ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent required.
• Experience in external audit for Mid-Market, SMEs and privately owned businesses.
• Experience leading audit assignments from planning through to completion with client relationships.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP (incl. FRS 102), IFRS, and the Companies Act.

Responsibilities

• Audit Delivery – manage audits for Mid-Market, SMEs and privately owned businesses from planning through to completion.
• Planning & Organisation – assist in developing audit strategies and scoping plans.
• Technical Application – apply UK GAAP/IFRS knowledge to audit assignments.
• Review & Reporting – draft sections of key reporting outputs for review by Managers and Partners.
• Team Support – supervise audit staff and provide on-the-job feedback.
• Coaching & Development – support junior team members' growth.
• Quality & Compliance – ensure audit files meet standards and regulatory requirements.
• Client Relationships – act as day-to-day contact and build professional relationships.
• Commercial Awareness – monitor time against budget and assist with billing.
• Collaboration – work with other service lines and contribute to firm initiatives.
