Mic helmores LLP is seeking a Senior Associate in Employment Law to join either the Exeter or Bristol office. You will support the team in delivering first-class service to clients, handling a broad range of employment issues and representing clients in tribunals.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales with at least 5 years’ PQE, deep knowledge of UK employment law, and a proven track record in complex matters, including settlement negotiations.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in employment law.
• Deep knowledge of UK employment legislation, case law and best practices.
• Proven track record handling complex employment matters including settlements and Tribunal advocacy (desirable).

Responsabilités

• Provide expert legal counsel to clients on employment law issues and employee rights.
• Deliver clear, commercial HR guidance to in-house HR teams.
• Conduct thorough legal research and provide strategic advice for client cases.
• Manage Employment Tribunal claims from ACAS Early Conciliations to appeals and cost applications.
• Represent clients in Employment Tribunals, mediations and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Collaborate with colleagues across teams to deliver comprehensive solutions and support corporate deals.
• Stay updated on changes in employment law and proactively advise clients.
• Work with Knowledge Team to update policies, contracts and templates.
• Engage in business development activities and assist with firm growth initiatives.
