Job summary

Chadwick Nott is representing an Exeter-office Employment team seeking a Senior Associate with a strong employment law background. You will provide strategic guidance to employers on complex workplace issues and lead a broad mix of matters across contentious and non-contentious matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage Employment Tribunal litigation and advise through ACAS Early Conciliation.
• Assist with complex issues such as discrimination, whistleblowing, TUPE transfers and internal investigations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across corporate, commercial and dispute resolution teams on multidisciplinary projects.

Senior Associate – Employment – Exeter

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join the Exeter office of a leading UK Top 100 law firm. Recognised in the Legal 500 for its expertise, the firm’s Employment team advises a diverse range of clients across the private, public and third sectors, delivering practical, commercially focused solutions on complex workplace issues.

As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in supporting and developing client relationships while handling a broad mix of employment matters, including:

• Providing strategic advice to employers on both contentious and non-contentious employment law issues.
• Guiding clients through employee relations matters including disciplinary processes, grievances, performance management, redundancy exercises and organisational change.
• Managing Employment Tribunal litigation and advising throughout the ACAS Early Conciliation process.
• Assisting clients with complex employment issues such as discrimination claims, whistleblowing concerns, TUPE transfers and internal investigations.
• Collaborating closely with colleagues across corporate, commercial and dispute resolution teams on multi-disciplinary projects and transactions.

About You

You will be a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a strong employment law background and a passion for delivering outstanding client service.

Ideally, you will have:

• 5+ years' PQE specialising in Employment law.
• Experience advising employer clients across a wide range of workplace issues.
• Strong Employment Tribunal and contentious employment law experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong drafting and organisation skills.
• An interest in business development and contributing to the continued success of the team.
