Job summary

NALA in London is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to own the transformation layer in dbt and Snowflake. You will ensure models are well modeled, tested, documented, and trusted by analysts and agents.

You will build the post-AI data stack, deploy autonomous agents, establish standards, and mentor teammates while improving performance and cost. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role in a fast-growing fintech.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of production dbt experience.
• A semantic layer you have used in production.
• Streaming and warehouse scale experience with CDC or incremental transforms.
• Snowflake or Databricks experience with cost and scale considerations.
• Orchestration with Airflow, Dagster or equivalent.
• Three+ years of production Python.
• Passion for building with agents and for agents.

Responsibilities

• Own the modelling and transformation of your domains end to end in dbt and Snowflake, from the business question through to the governed model that answers it.
• Set and defend modelling methodology alongside our Analytics Engineer, grain, dimensional patterns, and where exceptions earn their place.
• Make your models agent-ready: semantically rich, consistently named, described in business terms, safe to query without human verification.
• Own streaming and near-real-time pipelines (Kafka or similar) alongside batch transformations, keeping real-time flows reliable and cost-efficient.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, testing and documentation as CI-enforced defaults.
• Optimise warehouse performance and cost by tuning queries and materialisations.
• Deploy and supervise autonomous agents against our data stack with proper engineering standards.
• Support and mentor analysts on analytics-engineering practice.
