Job summary

The National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking a Senior Analyst in Warwick with hybrid working options to join the Implementation Strategy team within the Reformed National Pricing programme. You will help shape market reforms and assess impacts on NESO personnel, systems and processes, partnering with industry to deliver a cohesive delivery plan.

The role requires experience in complex programmes, GB electricity market knowledge, and strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work within complex programmes or deliver successful business change projects.
• Understanding of NESO processes and systems is advantageous.
• Ability to gather findings from multiple sources for in-depth analysis and present to senior stakeholders.
• Understanding GB electricity market issues and policy responses.
• Experience in GB electricity industry, including codes, processes, and data flows, is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Reformed National Pricing (RNP) reforms for NESO, focusing on balancing, settlement and dispatch.
• Evaluate impacts, delivery costs, timescales, and effects on wider systems and processes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and industry customers to identify key areas of change in codes, systems and processes.
• Develop high-level requirements and map activities, information flows, and data needs for reforms.
• Ensure implementation is considered in programme decisions and educate colleagues on risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with government bodies to align on implementation approaches for reforms.
• Contribute to a culture of curiosity, belonging, and trust within the team and across NESO.
