Job summary

National Energy System Operator (NESO) in Warwick with hybrid working options seeks an Investor Strategy Specialist to translate investor insights into analysis and evidence guiding NESO's decisions about the energy transition.

You will work in the Investor & Commercial Finance team, producing market intelligence, financial models and investor-facing materials while collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape programmes early on.

Qualifications

• Experience in investment, infrastructure finance, project finance or related commercial field.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capability to assess complex investment cases.
• Interest in energy or infrastructure sector and regulatory/commercial factors shaping investment.
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Developing financial and commercial models to assess investment cases, risk allocation and financing approaches.
• Producing investor intelligence and maintaining an investor management framework.
• Contributing to design of commercial mechanisms, ensuring financeability and deliverability.
• Translating technical plans into investor-friendly materials and communicating with senior leaders.
• Gathering inputs across NESO teams to ensure grounded investor perspectives are reflected.
• Contribute to analytical excellence by developing investment and economics methodologies.
• Support investor engagement and capture outputs into structured intelligence.
• Track where investor insight has informed NESO programmes and communications.
