Job summary

National Energy System Operator Limited is seeking a Senior Analyst in the Implementation Strategy team to shape the Reformed National Pricing programme. You will map changes across balancing, settlement and dispatch, collaborating with market design, programme management and operations to deliver a cohesive delivery plan.

You will evaluate impacts on NESO personnel, systems and processes, and engage with the industry to ensure comprehensive assessments while aligning with government bodies.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering or enabling large change programmes within complex environments.
• Knowledge of NESO processes, systems, and market contexts is advantageous.
• Ability to extract findings from multiple sources and present to senior stakeholders.
• Understanding of GB electricity market issues and policy/regulator responses.
• Experience with GB electricity industry frameworks, codes, data flows and processes is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal, diplomatic and organisational skills for influencing stakeholders.
• Flexible working approach to manage multiple demands while remaining professional.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of Reformed National Pricing reforms focusing on balancing, settlement and dispatch.
• Evaluate impacts, costs, timescales, and affected NESO systems and processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and industry customers to identify changes in codes and data flows.
• Develop high-level requirements and map activities and information flows for reforms.
• Ensure implementation is considered in decisions and educate on risk and opportunities.
• Collaborate with government bodies to align implementation approaches.
• Foster curiosity, belonging and trust within the team and across NESO.
• Ensure eligibility to work in the UK at start date; visa sponsorship may be considered.
