Job summary

National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Implementation Strategy team within the Reformed National Pricing programme. You will map out changes, engage across NESO and the industry, and develop delivery plans for reforms in balancing and settlement, constraint management, and investment siting levers.

You will collaborate with market design, business analysis, programme management, and operations teams to understand proposed market design and assess impacts

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex programmes or delivering business change projects.
• Understanding of NESO processes and systems is advantageous.
• Ability to synthesize findings from multiple sources for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Reformed National Pricing (RNP) reforms for NESO, focusing on balancing, settlement and dispatch/scheduling.
• Evaluate potential impacts, including delivery costs and timescales, and impacts on wider NESO systems and industry.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and industry customers to identify key areas of change in codes, systems and processes.
• Develop high-level requirements and map activities, information flows, and data requirements for the reforms.
• Ensure implementation is considered in programme decisions and educate colleagues on risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with government bodies to align on the implementation approach for the reforms.
• Contribute to a culture of curiosity, belonging, and trust within the team and NESO.
