Job summary

Bank of America in Belfast is seeking a Senior Business Control Specialist– Life Cycle Management to help safeguard the organization against financial crime risks. The role focuses on client screening, ongoing monitoring, and enhanced due diligence across the client lifecycle with enterprise-wide governance under GAO.

You will lead a team, coordinate workflow, coach colleagues, and ensure compliance with evolving laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience coaching and guiding team members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across complex AML processes.
• Ability to identify operational and compliance risk trends.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to balance priorities.
• Experience interacting with AML/KYC, compliance, risk partners, and senior management.
• Detail-oriented with ability to analyze and consolidate KYC and screening information.
• Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review client and party screening activities for adherence to laws and policies.
• Manage complex client types and conduct enhanced due diligence.
• Serve as escalation point and subject matter resource for high-risk cases.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to team members.
• Conduct quality reviews and provide coaching to promote accuracy and consistency.
• Monitor case volumes, aging, quality results, and operational trends.
• Support onboarding and development of team members.
• Support Audit, Exam, Testing and Quality Assurance activities.
• Identify and recommend process improvements for efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Promote risk and control culture through proactive escalation and governance.
