Bank of America in Belfast invites applications for a Senior Business Control Specialist– Life Cycle Management. The role sits in Global Anti-Money Laundering Operations and centers on client screening, ongoing monitoring, and enhanced due diligence to ensure regulatory compliance.

You will lead a team, coach colleagues, and coordinate workflows, while monitoring risk indicators, quality, and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and coaching AML ops teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to identify risk-trends in operations and compliance.
• Organizational skills to balance priorities and workloads.
• Experience interacting with AML/KYC teams and senior management.
• Detail-oriented with knowledge of AML laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review client and party screening for compliance with laws, rules and policies.
• Manage complex client types and due diligence within GAO scope.
• Serve as escalation point for high-risk cases, guiding research and documentation.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and workflow coordination for the team.
• Conduct quality reviews and coaching to improve accuracy and consistency.
• Monitor case volumes, aging, trends to identify risks and capacity gaps.
• Support onboarding and development of team members.
• Support audits, exams, testing, QA activities with governance and remediation.
• Identify process and control improvements to strengthen risk mitigation.
• Promote risk and control culture through monitoring and escalation.
