Job summary

LogicMonitor, London, is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build, and deploy tailored AI-powered solutions for customers, bridging software engineering, observability, and AI deployment.

You will work with senior engineers, product teams, and customers to deliver production-grade integrations and reusable patterns. You will ship code, support production rollouts, and drive adoption across SaaS, hybrid cloud, and customer-managed environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, data engineering, or related field.
• 4–7 years of backend or data systems engineering experience.
• Experience building streaming data pipelines (Kafka, Spark, or similar).
• Strong programming background in Java and Python, including microservice design.
• Experience with ETL, data modeling, and distributed storage systems.
• Ability to ship production-ready code in Java or Python plus JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience integrating external systems via APIs, SDKs, auth controls, payload mapping, and schema validation.
• Familiarity with observability fundamentals: logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerting, incident workflows.
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry and telemetry pipelines.
• Experience with cloud and deployment tools: AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure automation.
• Exposure to AI patterns: LLM APIs, agents, or workflows, observability of AI in production.
• Strong debugging, systems thinking, and ability to work in ambiguous customer environments.
• Awareness of data governance, validation, and lineage.
• Strong communication and collaboration across AI, Data, and Platform teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI-powered solutions and production templates for customers.
• Design and implement backend services, integrations, and lightweight full-stack features.
• Write clean, production-grade code in Python, Java, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Instrument telemetry and ensure observability across logs, metrics, and traces.
• Support go-live, adoption, and troubleshooting to minimize friction for customers.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to convert learnings into reusable patterns.
