Databricks in London is seeking an experienced Field Engineering leader to act as a Technical Advisor to startup CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and technical founders, shaping a vision for Data + AI and winning mindshare in early meetings.

The role emphasizes high-velocity growth, strategic road-mapping, and bridging complex business needs with scalable architectures. You will mentor the team, represent Databricks at events, and help establish the platform as the standard for UK startups.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of startup leadership experience at high-growth startups
• Executive presence and ability to influence senior technical stakeholders
• 8+ years in operational databases, data engineering, data science, or AI with evangelism focus
• Experience with OLTP architectures and real-time data integration
• 5+ years familiarity with startup/VC landscape
• High velocity mindset with focus on Time to Value
• Strong communication to both technical and business audiences

Responsibilities

• Executive evangelism and peer-to-peer relationships with CTOs and founders
• Drive high-velocity new logo motion in the UK startup ecosystem
• Build awareness within the UK startup and VC ecosystem by representing Databricks at events
• Bridge business requirements with Databricks Intelligence platform architecture
• Mentor the Field Engineering team and coach Solutions Architects for engaging with CxOs
• Lead technical seminars and meet-ups to position Databricks in Generative AI and modern data stack
