Job summary

The Citation Group in Liverpool invites an AI Architect to join its AI/Data area, reporting to the Chief AI Officer. This role is embedded in delivery, guiding AI architectural decisions across product, security, and infrastructure while influencing through judgement rather than headcount.

You will own standards, drive model selection frameworks, manage token economics, and ensure data readiness and security in production.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software, data, or platform engineering/architecture.
• Hands-on experience with production AI systems, not just pilots.
• Ability to own AI architectural standards and governance.

Responsibilities

• Define AI patterns for retrieval/ grounding and multi-step workflows.
• Lead model selection framework balancing frontier and open-weight models.
• Own tokenomics, cost governance, and observability for AI solutions.
• Assess data readiness across systems and ensure secure deployment.
• Provide early design input to initiatives and sign off AI design elements.
