Job summary

The Citation Group seeks an AI Architect to lead the AI/Data architecture within the delivery area, reporting to the Chief AI Officer. The role drives standardised AI patterns, model selection, and data readiness across products and platforms, ensuring architectural coherence and risk management.

You will shape decision frameworks, oversee third‑party engagements, and enforce production quality and cost controls for AI initiatives across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Senior — 6+ years in software, data, or platform engineering/architecture with hands‑on production AI experience.
• Ability to influence across Product, Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure through architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own AI standards and patterns for retrieval, grounding, and agent orchestration.
• Lead model selection between open-weight and closed models with a documented framework.
• Oversee data architecture readiness and governance for AI initiatives.
• Define production quality, observability, and cost management for AI systems.
• Work with Delivery partners as the architectural counterpart and sign off on designs.
