Job summary

The Citation Group is seeking an AI Architect to own the AI/Data architecture across the delivery area. You will line-manage centrally to the Chief AI Officer and influence AI decisions that cut across product, engineering, security, and infrastructure.

In this senior role, you will establish patterns, drive model selection, manage token economics, and ensure data readiness and governance are embedded from design through production.

Qualifications

• Senior — 6+ years in software, data, or platform engineering/architecture, with meaningful hands-on time on production AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Architectural standards and patterns: own the AI-specific design patterns and ensure they align with the five-layer platform architecture.
• Model selection: document an evidence-based framework for choosing between open and closed models per workload.
• Tokenomics: manage unit economics, including token cost modeling, caching, and cost governance.
• Data architecture and readiness: assess data across Salesforce, Atlas, Snowflake, and integration layers for AI readiness.
• Design authority and governance: own approval path for new AI architectural patterns and sign off on AI design elements of partner statements of work.
• Proof of concept and technical validation: define scope and success criteria for spikes and proofs of concept.
• Third‑party delivery oversight: review proposals and statements of work with vendors to ensure compliance with standards.
• Production quality and observability: set standards for monitoring and incident response in live AI systems.
• Security and compliance: ensure security is involved from the start in major initiatives.
