Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting a Senior Accountant in Edgware. The role is a client-facing portfolio leadership position with influence and a clear path to management.

You will work closely with senior leadership, gaining exposure to strategic advisory work and developing strong client relationships. The posting notes 80/20 split between accounts and audit, preparation of statutory accounts and corporate tax returns, and a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong accounting, tax, audit and advisory experience.
• Portfolio management and client relationship experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• 80/20 split between accounts and audit.
• Review and preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Management of a client portfolio, acting as the main point of contact.
• Delivery of high-quality client service and translating technical matters into clear, commercial advice.
• Involvement/leading assignments including: Audit supervision; Audit fieldwork is outsourced; the role will involve Audit Co-Ordination.
• Management accounts and reporting; Cash flow forecasting and budgeting; Business valuations and due diligence.
• Handling client queries, HMRC correspondence; Supporting junior team members; Working with partners on business development.

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Edgware

Package: Up to £55k (depending on experience), hybrid working, performance based bonuses, and more

Working Hours: Full time, 9am-6pm, Flexible working arrangements can be considered

A new vacancy is available withing a growing independent accountancy practice in Edgware, as they seek to recruit a high-calibre ACA or ACCA qualified accountant. This highly experienced practice have history dating back 50 years, and with a team of 13, have ambitious plans for growth

Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities

• 80/20 split between accounts and audit.

Senior Accountant Job Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
• Ambition with a desire to progress

Senior Accountant Salary & Benefits

• Salary dependent on experience, paying up to £55,000
