Job summary

Si Recruitment is partnering with a growing accountancy and business advisory firm to appoint an experienced Senior Accountant. You will manage a varied client portfolio, delivering high-quality accounting, compliance and advisory services while building trusted client relationships.

The role offers hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days at home), a competitive salary (£38,000–£45,000 DOE), 26 days’ holiday plus birthday off, an annual bonus scheme and a range of benefits including health

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, Companies Act requirements and FRS 102, FRS 102 1A and FRS 105.
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and act as a key contact throughout the year.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and groups.
• Prepare management accounts and VAT returns for a range of clients.
• Assist clients with accounting and tax compliance while ensuring work is delivered accurately and on time.
• Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to add value through additional services.
• Promote cloud accounting solutions and support clients with digital accounting processes.
• Work closely with managers on planning assignments, meeting deadlines and delivering excellent client service.
• Research and apply relevant accounting standards and legislation to provide practical solutions.

About the Candidate

• ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified.
• At least three years' experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, Companies Act requirements and FRS 102, FRS 102 1A and FRS 105.
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• A proactive, client-focused approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
