What You’ll Do:

IMG’s Football team is responsible for global business development, key client management and commercial rights workflow across football Confederations, Federations, Leagues and Clubs. The team interacts closely with Global Commercial, Studios, Digital, Strategy & Growth and core Business Operations functions. Our clients include CONMEBOL, CAF, CONCACAF, Eredivisie, The FA, Real Madrid and many more.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Account Manager to join our team and be responsible for managing a key IMG Football account; as well as to provide ad hoc support on additional IMG Football client management & new business projects.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • This role will be based at Chiswick Park, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate
  • May be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings
  • Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule

Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

  • Lead day-to-day management and key point persons for a IMG key football account
  • Main liaison between account stakeholders:
    • Client: international broadcast/media rights, production, content, marketing functions
    • IMG: Football (Media), Media Sales, Brand Partnerships, Strategy, Production, Digital, Legal, Finance
  • Creation of sales materials/market reports to support the global Media Sales process
  • Responsible for driving commercial growth for the client across international media rights and other revenue streams e.g. digital advertising, event creation, content formats
  • Responsible for ensuring client assets are performing at maximum potential (engagement/revenue) across digital platforms (specifically YouTube)
  • Responsible for creating client-facing financial documentation, internal forecasting and modelling, alongside Finance team
  • Work closely with Legal team on all contractual negotiations, with the client and broadcasters
  • Responsible for creation of key client presentations and documentation (e.g. market trend reports, insights, “hygiene” client reports)
  • Close collaboration with client on additional new business / new IP opportunities beyond immediate scope of IMG’s engagement
  • Positioning opportunities for integration of IMG/TKO capabilities to the benefit of the client
  • Future planning / commercial modelling & strategy around client renewal
  • Ad hoc support on additional IMG Football client management & new business projects
  • Work closely with IMG senior leadership to ensure key objectives are met
  • Attend events to support with a multitude of tasks
  • Other duties that are within the scope of the role may be required.

You Will Have The Following Strengths:

  • Typically, 5+ years experience in media and account/project management
  • Experience in sports media rights strongly preferable
  • Experience of YouTube/digital advertising models preferable
  • Knowledge of the wider media industry landscape
  • Knowledge of the global football landscape
  • Ability closely follow business practices, resources and personnel within IMG Media
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey salient information to senior stakeholders in a concise manner
  • Possess a keen eye for detail
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with proven experience of building and fostering strong working relationships
  • Committed to client service excellence and fostering quality external relationships
  • Ability to self-direct, motivate and work with minimal supervision
  • A strong team player that is flexible dependent on business demand
  • Excellent time management & ability to work calmly under pressure whilst meeting deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise. Priorities will often change to dictate focus of work – the candidate must have the ability to handle competing demands and last-minute changes effectively
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, incl. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint
  • Numerate and analytical with the ability to understand and interpret data
  • A passion for football is also desirable
