Responsibilities
- Work across a number of client teams; develop client relationships, attend client calls and contribute, take accurate notes from client and internal meetings
- Write for different audiences, adapting style accordingly
- Prepare first draft of client materials to a high standard, working into senior team members
- Present ideas confidently, internally and to clients
- Proactively stay on top of industry trends and have a good understanding of client competitors
- Conduct media monitoring, including client news, competitor developments, political developments, and prepare timely analysis to develop advisory voice and input into discussions. Take first draft of stakeholder mapping exercises
- Identify and engage with journalists/stakeholders and assist with relationship building briefing documents. Lead on creating media lists.
- Conduct digital monitoring and make use of listening tools
- Actively contribute during internal meetings and brainstorms
- Proactively manage up and down to manage smooth running of accounts and manage day-to-day deliverables
- Support new business pitches through research and contribute to document creation
- Network internally and externally
Essential skills and experience
- Excellent writing skills
- Demonstrable experience working in a PR agency or communications role
- Experience in developing relationships with clients or key stakeholders
- A genuine interest in business, current affairs, and the media
- Experience in media monitoring and analysis
- Demonstrable experience in media relations and/or stakeholder engagement
- A ‘can-do’ attitude and a collaborative mindset
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, ideally across multiple client accounts
Desirable skills and experience
- Experience working in an integrated communications agency (desirable but not essential)
- Strong digital skills and experience working with tools (desirable but not essential, training provided on our digital tools such as Brandwatch, Onalytica, and Traackr)
