Job summary

A 3rd Line Engineer with MSP experience is sought to provide senior-level support across a managed client environment in Manchester, hybrid work arrangement, and a salary around £50k.

You will own complex escalations, drive root cause analysis and work with vendors to deliver lasting resolutions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a senior 2nd Line, 3rd Line, Infrastructure or MSP environment.
• Strong hands-on networking experience including TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, routing/switching, firewalls and VPNs.
• Detailed experience with Microsoft 365, Azure and related technologies including Exchange Online, Entra ID/Azure AD and MFA.
• Experience with backup/DRaaS, security and incident management in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Own complex 1st and 2nd Line escalations with thorough technical evidence and next actions.
• Lead advanced diagnosis across infrastructure, networking, security, backup/DR and telephony.
• Provide clear customer communication during incidents, problems and engineering activity.
• Own problem records, perform RCA and maintain Known Errors and workarounds.
• Deliver permanent remediation through changes, scripting, automation and vendor engagement.
