Job summary

A leading technology services provider in the UK is seeking an experienced 3rd Line IT Support & Implementation Engineer to provide expert technical support. This role involves resolving complex escalations and delivering project work across various technologies. Candidates should have over 7 years' experience within a technical helpdesk or MSP environment, strong communication skills, and expertise in technologies like Microsoft and advanced networking. Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience within a technical helpdesk or MSP environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly.
  • Active Directory & Group Policy administration.
  • Exchange administration experience.
  • Advanced expertise with Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong networking understanding.
  • Experience with firewalls and backup technologies.
  • Virtualisation experience and deep knowledge of Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary escalation point for technical queries.
  • Review, organise, and execute technical changes.
  • Support high-priority incidents and security events.
  • Deliver proactive tasks including firmware upgrades.
  • Collaborate closely with other Level 3 engineers.
  • Participate in Change Advisory Board activities.
