Job summary

Bechtle UK in Manchester is seeking a skilled 3rd Line Engineer to provide senior technical support and act as escalation point for 1st/2nd line teams. You will communicate progress updates to customers and work with field engineers to resolve complex incidents.

The role requires strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and networking, with experience across VMware vSphere or Hyper-V and enterprise storage. Hybrid working and on-site visits are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a 3rd line technical support role.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd line technical support to customers.
• Provide high standard of customer service and ensure incidents and requests are logged and updated promptly.
• Escalate incidents to service team leaders as appropriate.
• Collaborate with 1st and 2nd line support and field engineers to maintain communication.
• Assist with training and guidance of 1st and 2nd line team members.
• Assist with technical design, implementation and support of incidents and projects.
• Create and maintain customer infrastructure/service documentation.
• Provide occasional on-site support to resolve incidents.
• Ensure Bechtle equipment is installed to standards and best practices.
