Job summary

Bechtle UK seeks a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our Northampton Service Desk, providing remote assistance and collaboration with 1st/3rd line and field engineers to keep incidents resolved quickly and customers satisfied.

You should have at least 2 years’ experience with Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, AD, Microsoft 365) and related IT infrastructure. The role offers hybrid working (3 days in/2 days remote after probation) and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience supporting Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, alongside networks, printers, PCs, and business applications.
Proven experience of enterprise / mainstream technologies and applications primarily focused on Microsoft front/backend products as well as anti-virus and backup platforms and operations.
Experience with other enterprise / mainstream technologies and applications such as Citrix, VMware and Cisco are desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide 2nd line technical support for all customers.
Ensure incidents are resolved quickly and maintain service levels.
Collaborate with 1st line, 3rd line and field engineers to maintain communication.
Provide technical guidance to the helpdesk and engineers.
Assist with change control and maintain accurate documentation.
