Teaching Personnel are recruiting a dedicated SENDCo for an independent SEMH school in Stoke-on-Trent. You will lead SEND provision, manage EHCPs and statutory processes, and work with teachers, pastoral staff and leaders to secure the best outcomes for pupils with SEMH needs.

The role offers a temporary to permanent contract with a clear progression pathway. A supportive team and specialist setting aim to develop SEND provision and pupil outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and EHCP processes
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND/SEMH

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school
  • Manage and oversee EHCPs, annual reviews and statutory processes
  • Collaborate with teaching, pastoral and leadership teams to ensure pupil support
  • Liaise with families, local authorities and external professionals
  • Support staff with SEND strategies and interventions
  • Monitor provision, progress and outcomes for pupils with additional needs
  • Contribute to the development of SEND provision across the school

Are you a qualified SENDCo looking for an opportunity where you can genuinely influence outcomes, shape provision and be part of a specialist team making a difference every day?

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an independent specialist SEMH school in Stoke-on-Trent to recruit a dedicated SENDCo to join their experienced and supportive staff team.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a specialist setting supporting secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school offers a highly personalised approach to education, small class sizes and a strong focus on helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes. SEMH settings require specialist approaches to behaviour, emotional regulation, attachment and trauma-informed practice.

The successful candidate will initially join on a temporary basis with a clear pathway to a permanent position for the right person.

  • Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
