Job summary

Concordia Academy is seeking a SENDCo to manage provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disability, driving high-quality teaching and safeguarding across the school. The successful candidate will work with the leadership and inclusion teams to ensure effective provision for all pupils and promote inclusive practices.

Experience is valuable but a willingness to learn and develop as a SENDCo and senior leader is key.

Qualifications

• Is organised and able to work to tight deadlines.
• Knows and understands what high expectations in the classroom look like and can support in making them daily.
• Has a passion for SEND and inclusive practice.
• Can lead, support and model effective practice to other staff.
• Has a National SENDCo Award or willingness to achieve it.
• Willing to support safeguarding and achieve Level 3 DSL qualifications if not already held.
• Committed to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SEND provision for pupils with identified needs.
• Collaborate with the leadership and inclusion team to ensure high-quality provision and safeguarding.
• Model best practice and support staff in delivering inclusive teaching for all pupils.
