Job summary

REAch2 Academy Trust is recruiting a SENDCo at Concordia Academy in Romford. You will manage SEND provision, promote high-quality teaching and effective use of resources while working with leadership and the inclusion team to ensure inclusive practice and safeguarding.

Experience with SEND is desirable, but a willingness to learn and develop as a senior leader is welcomed. A National SENDCo Award and Level 3 DSL qualifications are highly valued, with Trust support for development.

Qualifications

• Organisation and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Understands high classroom expectations and supports daily delivery.
• Passion for SEND and inclusive practice.
• Able to lead, support and model effective practice to staff.
• Has National SENDCo Award or is willing to achieve it.
• Supports safeguarding with Level 3 Designated Safeguarding Lead qualifications (or willingness).
• Committed to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Manage provision for pupils with SEND, promoting high-quality teaching and effective use of resources.
• Collaborate with leadership and inclusion teams to ensure effective provision for all pupils.
• Safeguard pupils and lead safeguarding initiatives within the school.
