Job summary

Concordia Academy, part of REAch2 Academy Trust in Havering, is looking for an ambitious SENDCo to lead provision for pupils with SEND, promote high-quality teaching and safeguarding, and work with leadership and the inclusion team. The role emphasizes development as a senior leader and commitment to ongoing professional growth.

We welcome candidates willing to learn, with the possibility to achieve the National SENDCo Award and Safeguarding Lead qualification if not already held.

Qualifications

• Organised and able to work to tight deadlines.
• Knows and understands high classroom expectations and can support daily delivery.
• Has a passion for SEND and inclusive practice.
• Can lead, support and model effective practice to staff.
• National SENDCo Award (the school will support attainment if needed) and Level 3 Designated Safeguarding Lead qualification or willingness to achieve.
• Dedicated to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Manage the provision for pupils identified as having SEND and promote high-quality teaching and learning.
• Work with leadership and the inclusion team to ensure effective provision and safeguarding for all pupils.
• Support and develop as SENDCo and senior leader.
• Lead and model best practice to other staff members.
