Job summary

Leiston Primary School is seeking a dedicated SENDCo to lead our SEND provision and ensure every pupil receives support to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SENDCo or ambitious teacher to shape high-quality SEND provision with a focus on inclusion, aspiration and pupil wellbeing. You will work with families, staff and external professionals to remove barriers to learning and drive school improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading SEND provision across a school.
• Strong understanding of SEN Code of Practice and inclusive education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyse progress, attendance and wellbeing data.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SEND provision across the school, championing inclusion.
• Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews and statutory responsibilities.
• Develop adaptive teaching and inclusive classroom practice with teachers.
• Coordinate interventions and monitor impact on pupil outcomes.
• Build relationships with families, carers and external agencies.
• Lead staff development and support colleagues in meeting needs.
• Contribute to whole-school improvement and safeguarding.
