Job summary

Kids Planet Day Nurseries Limited in Manchester is seeking a SENDCO Lead to drive inclusive practice and help children with SEND engage in learning and reach their potential. You will lead collaboration with families, staff and external agencies to design tailored support plans, support strong safeguarding and EYFS delivery, and oversee multi‑agency working and staff meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification and experience of working at a senior level.
• Knowledge of Ofsted requirements, EYFS and safeguarding.
• Experience of working with children with SEND and in partnership with parents and outside agencies.
• Ability to demonstrate multi agency working and lead staff meetings.

Job description

By taking the lead in assisting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to engage fully in learning and reach their potential.

Through leading collaboration with families, staff, and external agencies to design and implement tailored support plans that meet each child's needs.

By taking responsibility for promoting an inclusive, nurturing environment where all children feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.

Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification and experience of working at a senior level.

Have a detailed understanding of the requirements set by Ofsted.

Excellent understanding of EYFS.

Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.

Experience of working with children with SEND requirements.

Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies.

Ability to demonstrate multi agency working and experience of leading staff meetings.
