Job summary

Kids Planet in Bredbury is seeking a SENDCO Lead to shape inclusive learning for children with SEND. You will lead collaboration with families, staff and external agencies to design tailored support plans that meet each child's needs and promote an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

The role requires Level 3 UK early years qualification and strong understanding of Ofsted and EYFS, with a focus on safeguarding and partnership working.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and EYFS.
• Experience leading SEND provision and collaboration with families.

How you'll make a difference as a SENDCO:

• By taking the lead in assisting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to engage fully in learning and reach their potential.
• Through leading collaboration with families, staff, and external agencies to design and implement tailored support plans that meet each child's needs.
• By taking responsibility for promoting an inclusive, nurturing environment where all children feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.

What a SENDCO needs:

• Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification and experience of working at a senior level.
• Have a detailed understanding of the requirements set by Ofsted.
• Excellent understanding of EYFS.
• Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.
• Experience of working with children with SEND requirements.
• Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies.
• Ability to demonstrate multi agency working and experience of leading staff meetings
