Kids Planet Day Nurseries Ltd. in Lawley is seeking a SENDCO to lead support for children with SEND, helping them learn and thrive, and to collaborate with families, staff and external agencies to design tailored plans.

The role requires a Level 3 UK early years qualification, strong EYFS and Ofsted knowledge, safeguarding expertise, and experience with SEND; leadership of staff meetings and multi‑agency collaboration is essential.

How you’ll make a difference as a SENDCO:

• By taking the lead in assisting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to engage fully in learning and reach their potential.
• Through leading collaboration with families, staff, and external agencies to design and implement tailored support plans that meet each child’s needs.
• By taking responsibility for promoting an inclusive, nurturing environment where all children feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.

What a SENDCO needs:

• Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification and experience of working at a senior level.
• Have a detailed understanding of the requirements set by Ofsted.
• Excellent understanding of EYFS.
• Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.
• Experience of working with children with SEND requirements.
• Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies.
• Ability to demonstrate multi agency working and experience of leading staff meetings
