Job summary

Kids Planet Morrill in Hull is seeking a SENDCO to lead SEN support across early years settings, ensuring tailored plans help every child reach their potential. You will collaborate with families, staff and external agencies, design and implement inclusive strategies, and promote safeguarding and high standards in line with Ofsted expectations.

A Level 3 UK EY qualification and extensive SEND experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 UK recognised early years qualification and senior level experience.
• Excellent understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
• Strong multi-agency collaboration with families and external agencies.
• Experience working with SEND and leading staff meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and design tailored SEND support plans for individual children.
• Collaborate with families, staff and external agencies to implement learning supports.
• Promote an inclusive, nurturing environment where all children thrive.
• Ensure safeguarding and Ofsted standards are maintained across settings.

What a SENDCO Needs

• Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification and experience of working at a senior level.
• Have a detailed understanding of the requirements set by Ofsted.
• Excellent understanding of EYFS.
• Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.
• Experience Of Working With Children With SEND Requirements.
• Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies.
• Ability to demonstrate multi agency working and experience of leading staff meetings.
