Job summary

Kids Planet Morrill is seeking a SENDCO Lead to join our nurturing team. You’ll lead SEND provision, collaborate with families and external agencies, and design tailored support to help every child thrive. We value specialist knowledge of Ofsted requirements, EYFS, safeguarding, and multi-agency teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must hold at least Level 3 UK recognised early years qualification and senior experience.
• Detailed understanding of Ofsted requirements.
• Excellent EYFS knowledge.
• Extensive safeguarding knowledge.
• Experience working with children with SEND.
• Experience partnering with parents and external agencies.
• Ability to lead staff meetings and multi-agency working.

How you’ll make a difference as a SENDCO:

• By taking the lead in assisting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to engage fully in learning and reach their potential.
• Through leading collaboration with families, staff, and external agencies to design and implement tailored support plans that meet each child’s needs.
• By taking responsibility for promoting an inclusive, nurturing environment where all children feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.

What a SENDCO needs:

• Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification and experience of working at a senior level.
• Have a detailed understanding of the requirements set by Ofsted.
• Excellent understanding of EYFS.
• Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.
• Experience of working with children with SEND requirements.
• Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies.
• Ability to demonstrate multi agency working and experience of leading staff meetings
