Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers to support Schools and Local Authorities in the North East. You will deliver Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND and SEMH needs using trauma-informed teaching and flexible delivery.

This self-employed role offers in-person, hybrid, and remote opportunities, with competitive pay (£28-£35 per hour) and CPD support. You will join a mission-driven team focused on vulnerable learners.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD/PMLD in a trauma-informed approach.
• Familiarity with teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) is required.
• Enhanced DBS check and two professional references are preferred.
• UK-based with right to work in the UK, including remote/online roles.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition in person, online, or hybrid for children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Support learners from KS1 to KS5 as appropriate, referring from local authorities and schools.
• Plan and report lessons, and provide regular feedback on student progress.
• Contribute to the mission of reimagining support for vulnerable learners.
