Job summary

Harrogate College seeks a SEND Team Leader for the Reduced Year to lead a dedicated SEND team, focusing on EHCP placement and student support. You will liaise with parents and curriculum staff while driving outcomes for vulnerable learners.

The role is 39 weeks per year, 37 hours weekly, with salary progression from £27,471 to £29,123 pro rata. Move to the new building and contribute to service improvements within the department.

Qualifications

• Qualified SEND/Learning Support experience or willingness to work towards.
• Experience with EHCP processes and multi-agency collaboration.
• Knowledge of current SEND legislation and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead part of the SEND team to deliver high-quality support for students with SEND.
• Oversee EHCP planning, implementation, and reviews.
• Collaborate with schools, families, health professionals, and social care to achieve positive outcomes.
• Manage High Needs cases and resolve escalated issues.
• Monitor performance, quality standards, and drive improvements.
• Contribute to strategic planning and policy development.
• Prepare reports and present recommendations to senior management.
• Promote inclusive practices and advocate for SEND needs.
