Job summary

Harrogate College is seeking a SEND Team Leader to join the SEND and High Needs department at Hornbeam Park. The pro rata salary starts at £27,471 with progression to £29,123 per annum. The role is 37 hours per week over 39 weeks per year, with the new building on site.

You will lead part of the SEND team to ensure high-quality support for students with SEND, oversee EHCP planning, and work with families, schools, health professionals and social services to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualification in SEND / Learning Support or willingness to work towards.
• English and Mathematics at Level 2 or above.
• Up-to-date knowledge of Government SEND legislation relating to transition, education, social care and health.
• Experience working with EHCPs and implementing appropriate support strategies.
• Experience in multi-agency partnership working with families, schools and professionals.
• Experience in performance monitoring, quality assurance and data-informed reporting.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, policy implementation and continuous service improvement, including budget and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Lead part of the SEND team to ensure high-quality support for children and young people with SEND.
• Oversee planning, implementation and reviews of EHCPs.
• Collaborate with schools, families, health professionals and social care to achieve positive outcomes.
• Manage High Needs cases and resolve escalated issues.
• Monitor service performance, quality standards and improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to strategic planning, policy development and service transformation projects.
• Prepare reports, analyse data and present recommendations to senior management.
• Promote inclusive practices and advocate for SEND needs.
