Job summary

Weston College Group is seeking a SEND Lead to oversee support for a caseload of students with SEND, particularly those with EHCPs, and to line manage a team of LSAs. The role includes coordinating resources and interventions to build learner independence and confidence over time.

The post is full-time (37 hours/week) on a maternity cover basis, with on-site interviews at Weston-super-Mare campuses and duties across our Weston-super-Mare sites.

Qualifications

• Requires SEND or SpLD qualification at Level 2 or higher.
• Experience supporting young people with SEND or additional learning needs.
• Experience managing a busy workload in an education setting.
• Ability to organise, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Line manage a group of LSAs, supervising practice and performance.
• Allocate LSAs to meet student needs and provide timetables for resource use.
• Support the use of digital resources and assistive technology to foster independence.
• Liaise with teaching staff and managers to ensure collaborative student support.
