Job summary

Class Act Teaching Services invites applications for a SEND Teaching Assistant at a welcoming primary school from January 2027. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, 30 hours per week across 38 weeks per year, supporting pupils with communication and interaction needs within a dedicated SEND Resource Base.

You will collaborate with the SEN Teacher, SEND team and SENCo to help learners access learning, build confidence and achieve personal goals, in a supportive, inclusive environment that

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEND is desirable.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a small group of pupils with communication and interaction needs.
• Help pupils access learning and develop confidence.
• Collaborate with SEN Teacher, SEND team and SENCo.
• Provide tailored support to pupils to achieve individual goals.
• Work within a dedicated SEND Resource Base.
