Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd is recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in the UK. You will join the specialist SEND Resource Base from January 2027 on a 12-month fixed-term contract, working 30 hours per week across 38 teaching weeks.

You will support pupils with communication and interaction needs, working closely with the SEN Teacher, SEND team and SENCo to help them access learning and reach individual goals.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEND is desirable.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with communication and interaction needs.
• Collaborate with SEN Teacher, SEND team and SENCo.
• Provide tailored support to pupils to access learning.
