Job summary

Class Act Teaching Services is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND Resource Base in Packmoor, starting January 2027 on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will support pupils with communication and interaction needs alongside the SEN team and SENCo, helping them access learning and reach personal goals.

The role focuses on a small group within a warm, inclusive school environment with ongoing INSET days and a weekly PAYE salary.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEND is desirable.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Support a small group of pupils with communication and interaction needs.
• Work with the SEN Teacher, SEND team and SENCo to enable learning.
• Help pupils access learning and develop confidence.
• Provide tailored support for pupils with high levels of need.
