Job summary

Class Act Teaching Services seeks a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a primary school's specialist SEND Resource Base from January 2027 on a fixed-term contract.

You will work 30 hours per week across 38 teaching weeks, supporting pupils with communication and interaction needs and assisting the SEN Teacher, SEN team and SENCo to help pupils access learning and achieve their goals.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEND is desirable.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a small group of pupils with SEND in accessing learning and developing confidence.
• Work alongside the SEN Teacher, SEND team and SENCo to support pupils with communication and interaction needs.
• Provide tailored support to pupils with high levels of need within a dedicated SEND Resource Base.
• Contribute to achieving individual learning goals for pupils.
