Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of needs at a large specialist school in Portsmouth. You will help pupils access learning, regulate emotions, and engage in school life within a supportive, cross-campus environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
  • Experience in SEND/alternative provision settings is advantageous.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Strong observation, communication, and safeguarding skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, EBD and other needs.
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with pupils.
  • Support emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour strategies.
  • Work with individuals and small groups inside and outside the classroom.
  • Help students access learning and engage in school life.
