Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking caring and patient Supply Teaching Assistants to support pupils in SEN schools around Waterlooville, Hampshire. You would work across multiple settings, providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with diverse additional needs.

Ideal candidates are confident with children and young people, adaptable, and able to build quick positive relationships. SEN experience is welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a SEN setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to build positive relationships quickly with pupils and staff.
  • Confident and compassionate approach when supporting children and young people.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD and complex learning needs.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support around lesson activities.
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks.
  • Support pupils' emotional, social and personal development.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Work flexibly across different SEN schools and year groups.

Are you a caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in SEN schools?

We are looking for dedicated Supply Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of Special Educational Needs settings in and around Waterlooville.

The role:
  • Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD and complex learning needs
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support
  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning
  • Supporting pupils with their emotional, social and personal development
  • Helping create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Working flexibly across different SEN schools and year groups
We are looking for someone who is:
  • Caring, patient and compassionate
  • Confident working with children and young people
  • Adaptable and able to build positive relationships quickly
  • Experienced in an SEN setting (desirable, but not essential)
