Job summary

Aspire People Limited is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work with pupils aged 11-19 in a highly specialist SEND school in Oldbury. The role requires hands-on support for students with complex medical and learning needs, including Autism, with personal care and medical support as needed.

Qualifications

Must hold a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
Level 3 qualification clearly listed on CV.
Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
Experience supporting pupils with Autism and complex needs.
Comfortable providing personal care.
Confident supporting pupils with medical and physical needs.
Patient, caring and resilient.
Able to work as part of a specialist multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Support pupils aged 11-19 with complex medical and additional needs in a specialist SEND school.
Deliver hands-on support as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Assist with personal care and medical/physical requirements as needed.
Contribute to safeguarding and appropriate child protection processes.
