Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position in a SEND school in Dudley. The role focuses on supporting secondary students with autism, complex needs and communication challenges, working with teachers to provide targeted support inside and outside the classroom.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent, have SEND experience, and demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly autism and complex needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Experience supporting students with communication and behaviour needs.
• A patient, caring and proactive approach.
• A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Support secondary-aged students with autism and complex needs inside and outside the classroom.
• Work closely with teaching staff to promote engagement, independence and progress.
